Dammsvedjans kyrka stands on Nämndemansgatan in Borås, serving several districts in the south of the city. A modest example of Swedish modernist church design from the late 1960s, it remains part of Borås parish in the Diocese of Skara.

The church was built in 1968–1969 to designs by architect Bengt Börtin, and was consecrated on the second Sunday of Advent 1969 by Bishop Helge Brattgård. It was constructed together with an adjoining parish hall, forming part of a coordinated modernist complex typical of Swedish church-building of the period.

The building consists of two white cubic volumes set into a sloping site (a suterräng, or partially sunken arrangement), with a concrete structure and plain, white-rendered exterior walls. The roof is clad in copper sheeting. Inside, the worship space is calm and enclosed, lit by high-set windows, with a floor of ceramic tiles.

A short distance in front of the entrance stands a separate cubic bell tower of two storeys. The lower level serves as a covered gateway (stiglucka) through which visitors pass, while the upper storey houses two church bells.

Among the fittings, the present font near the pulpit dates from 2000, replacing an earlier limestone font. The organ, built in 1970 by Tostareds Kyrkorgelfabrik, stands on the floor near the chancel; it has twelve stops across two manuals and pedal, with a sounding facade.

The church can accommodate around 225 people and has been used for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
