Rydboholms kyrka stands beside the Viskan river in Rydboholm, part of Kinnarumma parish in Borås municipality. Built as a factory church for the local textile works, it remains a distinctive example of nineteenth-century industrial patronage in Swedish church building.

The church was built in stone in 1852, on the initiative of manufacturer Sven Erikson, to serve the workers of the Rydboholm company at its mill settlement beside the river. In a striking arrangement for a Swedish parish church, the company itself paid the wages of the factory preacher, organist and other staff, only transferring ownership of the building to Kinnarumma parish in 1970.

The original structure was a simple single-nave building oriented north-south. A sacristy was added at the south end in 1899, along with a wooden tower at the north end. Inside, the church has a high, white vaulted ceiling and plain white walls, giving the interior a light, restrained character typical of Neoclassical design.

A substantial renovation between 1918 and 1920 transformed the interior, and notably this work was carried out by employees of the factory itself, underlining the close ties between the church and the mill community it served. In 1934 the timber tower was replaced with one built of stone, to designs by the architect Sigfrid Ericson, who also directed a further restoration in 1937.

Several furnishings date from the 1918–1920 renovation, including the current five-sided pulpit, which replaced an earlier combined altar-and-pulpit arrangement, and an octagonal wooden font. The altarpiece from the same period, depicting the Transfiguration of Christ, is the work of the artist John Hedæus, who also painted decorative motifs around the window recesses and the fittings of the chandeliers.
