Veddige kyrka was built in the 1860s on the same site where a medieval church had previously stood.
It is located in the middle of the village, surrounded by a beautiful churchyard.
During the restoration in 1909, the floor was raised to make room for a heating system, the pews were fitted with candle holders, and the altarpiece from the old church was reinstalled. In 1947 the church received electricity, and the beautiful wooden ceiling was concealed with masonite.
During the restoration in 1996, the wooden ceiling was uncovered, the church was painted in light colours, pews were removed, and small rooms were fitted out beneath the gallery.
