Styrsö kyrka is the parish's main church on the island of Styrsö, built in 1752.
The oldest sanctuary, a simple wooden building, was probably erected at the so-called Vikingakyrkogården (Viking cemetery) in connection with the herring-fishing period of 1556–1589. The chapel is said to have been burned down in 1643 by enemy forces.
A new brick-roofed, red-painted church with a bell tower was erected on the site of the current church.
Since the old church had proven to be "dangerous to be in", it was decided in 1752 to build a new church in stone. It was inaugurated in 1754 and had largely the same appearance as the current church, built in 1752, which stands in the middle of the village opposite the vicarage and the parish hall on Brattenvägen.
Styrsö kyrka and the parish hall, as well as the rectory office (pastorsexpeditionen), are located closest to the Styrsö bratten stop.
