Nösunds kapell is a small wooden chapel on the island of Orust, built in 1912 to serve the community at Nösund within Tegneby parish. Now used mainly in the summer months, it has become a popular setting for weddings.

The idea of a church at Nösund had circulated within Tegneby parish since the late 1800s, but earlier plans came to nothing, including a proposal in 1890 to relocate Tegneby church itself, and a 1909 scheme prompted by fears that itinerant lay preachers might spread unorthodox teaching in the district. It was only after a direct request from two young local men that the rector, Carl Otto Ahlquist, agreed a chapel should finally be built. Construction began in April 1912 and the chapel was consecrated that September by the Bishop of Gothenburg. A chapel foundation formed at the time still cares for the building today.

The chapel was designed by the master builder August Johansson as one of three closely related timber chapels he built along this stretch of coast, the others being at Hamburgsund and Bovallstrand. It follows a simple plan with an east-facing nave, a straight-ended chancel and a west tower with a copper-clad spire topped by a cross likened to a ship's wheel. The white-painted timber panelling, green-framed pointed windows and dark tiled roof give it the plain, coastal character typical of the group, and despite various panel replacements and repairs over the years the building has kept its original appearance.

The chapel could originally seat around 150 people and was open throughout the year, but as regular churchgoing declined during the twentieth century it became a summer-only building. Its furnishings reflect a close relationship with the mother church at Tegneby: an early pulpit and altarpiece were borrowed from Tegneby before being returned in 1938, when Nösund instead received Tegneby's newer altarpiece and had a new pulpit made to the same historic 1638 design. A wooden font in matching style was made at the same time.```

A notable episode concerns the tower bell, cast in 1912, which cracked and had to be taken down in 1995; it was recast and rehung the following year. The chapel organ, built in 1938, and a smaller chancel organ acquired in 1989 from a neighbouring parish are among the more distinctive fittings. Many furnishings, including embroidered altar cloths donated in the mid-twentieth century, were gifts from residents of Nösund and the surrounding area, underlining the chapel's strong local roots.
