A neutral venue for funerals
Maximum number of visitors: approximately 55 people.
The venue is religiously neutral in its design and is offered to those who wish for a civil funeral or a funeral ceremony according to another religious order. There is the possibility to decorate the venue for each occasion according to wishes.
Equipment: The venue has access to a sound system, CD player, as well as a projector and screen for showing images and playing music.
Outside the venue there is a cloakroom. There is good access to parking.
There are no facilities for a post-funeral gathering or funeral coffee outside the ceremonial hall. Instead, you are welcome to book a parish hall.
Facts:
Svenska kyrkan Tjörn (the Church of Sweden in Tjörn) is responsible for the funeral operations in Tjörn and must be able to offer a religiously neutral funeral venue. This is regulated by the Funerals Act (SFS 1990:1144).
With the ceremonial hall, these wishes can be accommodated even better than before. The construction was financed by the funeral fee that all citizens residing in Tjörn pay through their tax return.
