The chapel was built in 1981 to designs by the architect Rolf Bergh. Its predecessor, a church hall dating from 1952, still stands alongside it, now serving as a parish house, with the two buildings joined together.
The chapel is easily recognised by its steeply pitched roof, covered in blue sheet metal, and by its exterior walls clad in traditional falu-red timber panelling. A bell tower was added in the same year the chapel was completed.
In 1994 the interior was remodelled under the direction of architect Helena Tallius-Myrman. The worship space now has timber-panelled walls painted white, an angled wooden ceiling, and a floor of artificial stone, furnished with loose chairs rather than fixed pews, giving it a simple, flexible character.
Among the chapel's fittings, the painted ceiling decoration, the stained glass, and the altar cabinet are all the work of the artist Åke Pallarp, giving the otherwise plain interior a distinctive decorative focus.
