Borgsjö kyrka, in Borgsjöbyn in the parish of Borgsjö-Haverö, is a Rococo-style church built between 1766 and 1771 under master builder Daniel Hagman, replacing a medieval stone church on the same site. It was consecrated on 12 January 1772.

The earlier stone church, possibly dating to the 14th century, was demolished in 1766 to make way for the present building; some of its materials were reused in the new construction. Although the building itself was finished by 1768, finishing work continued until 1770, and consecration did not take place until January 1772. The church is considered one of the most complete examples of Rococo ecclesiastical art in Sweden, notable for retaining much of its original interior largely unaltered since it was handed over to the parish.

The building has a rectangular nave with a sacristy on the north side, ribless star vaults in the ceiling, and light-coloured plastered walls. The galleries and pew fittings were made by master joiner Olof Hillgren, and most of the decorative painting is attributed to Paul Hallberg of Hudiksvall, including painted figures of fifteen prophets on the gallery front surrounding the Hebrew name of God.

Among the furnishings, the pulpit and altarpiece structure were made by Johan Edler the Elder, and the altarpiece painting depicting the visit of the Magi is signed Holm, Stockholm, 1794. The hexagonal pine font, carved with decorative panels, is dated 1693. The fronts of the foremost pews carry carved figures of the evangelists and, curiously, only nine of the twelve apostles — Peter, Paul and Mark are missing, reportedly to make space for a stove. Older fragments survive too: the sacristy door incorporates carved details said to date from the 13th to 15th centuries, including a depiction of Christ preaching, and a censer of similar antiquity hangs inside the sacristy. A heavy iron-bound chest beneath the pulpit, fitted with five locks that had to be opened in a set sequence, is said to have defeated thieves who abandoned it, unopened, some distance from the church after failing to force it.
