Hyssna kyrka stands in the village of Hyssna in Mark Municipality, Västra Götaland County, within the Church of Sweden's Diocese of Gothenburg. Consecrated in 1907, it replaced an earlier church that had become too small for the growing parish.

The present building was designed by the architect Thor Thorén at the Office of the Superintendent of Public Buildings, working from earlier drawings by the Gothenburg architect Adrian C. Peterson. The result blends Neo-Gothic massing with touches of Art Nouveau in the interior detailing, particularly around the doorways. Outside, pale rendered walls are pierced by pointed Gothic-style window openings, and a tall spire rises above the church. The building underwent restoration work in 1936 and again in 1967.

Several older furnishings were brought across from the previous church. The pulpit dates from 1706 and is the work of the woodcarver Gustav Kihlman. A striking survival is a chasuble from the fifteenth century, made of moss-green velvet with gold-thread embroidery, a rare textile to have lasted so many centuries.

The wooden font is contemporary with the current building and is painted blue with red and gold detailing, a colourful counterpoint to the church's otherwise restrained interior.

The church formerly had two bells of medieval type. The larger, known as Karin, cracked and was recast in 1915, while the smaller bell survives from the medieval period, bearing no inscription beyond an empty band around its neck.

The church has two organs: a chancel organ built in 1985 by Tostareds Kyrkorgelfabrik, and a larger gallery organ by the same builder, added in 2020 with mechanical key action and electric stop action.
