Vederslövs gamla kyrka is a small Romanesque church near Växjö in Sweden, dating from around the late 1100s or early 1200s. Its interior retains layers of decorative painting from the 1600s and 1700s, offering visitors a rare glimpse of rural Swedish church art.

The church was built of split fieldstone, probably in the late twelfth or early thirteenth century, replacing an earlier wooden church on the site. It follows a simple plan typical of the period, with a straight-ended chancel to the east, comparable to the nearby Jät old church. A timber porch stands before the main south entrance, first recorded in accounts from 1689 when it was repaired, and an ornately iron-fitted door leads into the nave. The steep shingle roof is crowned with wrought-iron finials, and a painted frieze runs beneath the eaves, a decorative feature once common among Småland's churches.

Inside, the narrow chancel arch carries fragmentary medieval paintings, including a depiction of Abraham with the souls of the blessed and a bishop in full vestments. Further decoration was added in stages: a painted surround on the sacristy door dates from the 1500s, while in 1682 the painter Gudmund carried out extensive decorative work of flowers and foliage, and a bold band of acanthus scrollwork runs beneath the flat ceiling. In 1768 Johan Luthman added drapery paintings to the church interior, though some of this later work, particularly in the chancel, was removed in 1960 to reveal the earlier decoration beneath.

The altarpiece framing the chancel window and the pulpit, richly adorned with images of the four evangelists beneath an elaborate canopy, were both completed in 1738 and 1739 respectively by Sven Segervall. The pews originate from 1679 and were repainted in 1767. A gallery installed during the 1960 restoration reused timber from an earlier structure, including painted panels attributed to the church painter Pehr Hörberg, showing Moses and the apostle John.

In 1877, Bishop Henrik Gustaf Hultman declared the church too small and cramped following a visitation, and a new church was subsequently built jointly with the Dänningelanda parish. The old church was largely abandoned, but from the early twentieth century it was gradually restored, work that continued into the 1960s. It remains in occasional use for worship by the parish today, though sources suggest this may be seasonal or limited rather than year-round.
