The church was inaugurated on 28 August 1966, built to designs by architect Ingvar Eknor of Örkelljunga, who also designed the freestanding bell tower added to the site in 1971. Its architecture reflects the plain, functional style typical of Swedish churches built for growing suburban congregations in the mid-twentieth century.
In 2001 the building underwent substantial alteration and extension, including improvements for accessibility and the addition of purpose-built parish work spaces. This later phase was completed to designs by Torsten Thuresson and formally inaugurated on 9 September 2001, giving the church much of its present appearance.
Among the church's notable features is a large exterior mosaic by the artist Yngve Nilsson, set on the outer wall of the chancel facing Vankivavägen. Nilsson also created the altar mosaic inside, which depicts the Christian Trinity. The church's organ is an electric instrument rather than a traditional pipe organ.
