Vantörs kyrka stands in Högdalen centrum in southern Stockholm, a modernist brick church built into the slope of the site. Inaugurated in 1959, it is protected as a listed cultural monument for its distinctive mid-century architecture and furnishings.

The church was designed by the architectural firm Alfreds & Larsén and built in 1958–59 from red brick, with the main worship space raised above ground-floor parish and activity rooms. The building is composed of several volumes of varying height, and the ceiling of the church hall is formed of folded concrete panels arranged in two levels, allowing indirect daylight to filter in between them. The main entrance is through the west door from Önskehemsgatan.

Since 2001 the upper floor of the church complex, along with a few specific rooms and original doors and fittings on the lower floor, has been protected as a listed church monument, reflecting the building's significance as an example of its period's ecclesiastical design.

Several notable works of art and craftsmanship can be found inside. The font is made of glass by Sven Palmqvist of Orrefors, formed from glass blocks arranged in a square with a rounded basin at its centre. A stylised crucifix in wood and iron, created in 1960 by the sculptor Arne Jones, hangs before a mosaic by Gert Marcus. Jones also designed the gilded aluminium weathercock, which was named Sweden's cockerel of the year in 1997 and has since become an emblem of Högdalen itself. A bronze sculpture near the entrance, depicting Christ and a human figure, is the work of Margot Hedeman, and the church's textiles were created by the artist Kaisa Melanton.

The church's original organ was removed and sold in 2006; a new instrument by the Norwegian builders Ryde & Berg was installed, its façade designed to echo the appearance of its predecessor, with a tone said to draw on the French Romantic organ tradition.
