Vallens kapell: The chapel in Vallen was inaugurated in 1940. Ahead of the chapel's 60th anniversary, an extensive renovation took place and a new altarpiece signed by Barbro Frimodig was installed. The chapel is owned and managed by the villagers through a chapel foundation. Services are held here throughout the year.

Östra Vallen's chapel foundation was established on 8 September 1936. Its founders entrusted future boards with the task of, in accordance with the statutes, permanently managing Vallens kapell.

For 80 years, activities including services, children's hours, sewing circles and similar gatherings have been held in the chapel's large and small halls. In the same year the chapel was to celebrate its 60th anniversary, an extensive renovation was carried out, with many contributing their labour. The village's associations worked together to achieve a beautiful chapel. Funding was also raised through donations and various events.

In 1999, the interior of Vallens kapell was renovated by church conservator Ragnar Lundberg and the Töre painter Erik Lindberg. Ragnar Lundberg presented a processional cross to the chapel in connection with the re-inauguration on 19 Dec. 1999.

The chapel's altarpiece, by the artist Barbro Frimodig, was also inaugurated on 19 Dec. 1999. The altar cloth, embroidered by Ingrid Lundkvist, was inaugurated on 19 Dec. 1999. The pulpit cloth, also woven and embroidered by Barbro Frimodig, was inaugurated in Feb. 2000.
