Nordsjö kapell is a small wooden chapel beside Bysjön lake in Bollnäs, part of the Arbrå-Undersviks parish. Originally built for other purposes, it was later adapted for church use, giving it an unusual history compared with many Swedish rural chapels.

The building's exact construction date is uncertain, with records suggesting it was built sometime between 1800 and 1919. It began life not as a place of worship but as a meeting hall for a temperance (templar) organisation, reflecting the strong role such societies played in Swedish rural community life during that period.

In 1922 the church authorities purchased the building, and it was formally consecrated for its present religious purpose in 1926. This change of use, from a secular meeting hall to a consecrated chapel, is the most distinctive part of its story.

Architecturally, the chapel is modest and typical of small Swedish wooden buildings of its era. It has a timber frame with exterior walls clad in red-painted vertical board panelling, and a half-hipped mansard roof covered in sheet metal made to imitate tile. The rectangular windows are white-painted and fitted with glazing bars.

Inside, the chapel retains a plain natural-toned wooden floor and wooden pews. The walls are panelled and marbled in a light greyish-green tone, while the ceiling is finished with white-painted wooden panels, giving the interior a simple, restrained character.

A free-standing bell tower with a shingle roof was erected in 1936, standing apart from the main chapel building. An electric organ was recorded in the chapel as of 1990, though little else is documented about its musical furnishings.
