The present building dates from 1991, when it replaced an earlier place of worship that had been housed in a wooden villa. Designed by the architect Bengt Jansson, the complex was inaugurated in December of that year. From the outside, the building gives little indication that it is a church, its exterior appearing more like an ordinary community structure.
Inside, the church occupies part of a two-storey complex that also contains parish rooms. The worship space itself is flexible: folding walls allow the room to be enlarged when needed, reflecting the building's dual role as both a church and a community centre.
All of the furnishings inside are movable rather than fixed. Among them is an altar relief carved by Eva Spångberg, and a font consisting of a glass bowl supported on four varnished birch struts, a simple and modern take on traditional church furniture. The main instrument is a digital organ.
