Näsby kyrka, in Frövi in Västmanland, stands on a site with a documented church history stretching back to at least the late 15th century, when a priest named Peder is recorded in 1496. The present building dates largely from the mid-19th century.

A church is known to have existed here since at least the 1400s, but the building visitors see today was constructed between 1858 and 1860, to designs by Carl Lundmark. Interestingly, the transepts were not entirely new at that time: they were retained from the earlier church, having been added during a renovation and extension carried out between 1790 and 1794.

The church's smaller bell was recast in 1896, though it is thought to incorporate metal or origins dating back as far as the 13th century, giving it a much longer history than the current building itself.

Other early features included an altarpiece donated by Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie in the mid-17th century and a new tower added in 1688, with an organ loft following in 1693, though these belonged to the earlier church structure rather than the present one.

Among the more distinctive furnishings are windows in the chancel painted by the Swedish artist Einar Forseth in 1919. These were a gift to the church marking the 50th birthday of Viktor Hübinette, a local landowner at the nearby Hinsebergs estate.

Outside the church stands a memorial stone commemorating parishioners who died in the Estonia ferry disaster, raised by their relatives with support from the parish.

The church has had a series of organs, the earliest recorded being a small positive organ with four stops noted in 1773; later instruments were built by Anders Schöllin in 1852 and by E. A. Setterquist & Son in 1887, the latter inaugurated with some ceremony that summer.
