The farmer Joseph Hansson from Mossebo stom, as Speaker of the Swedish Riksdag, succeeded in having a couple of national collections fund the building of Mossebo church, which was completed in 1773. Hansson himself is depicted in an original portrait on the south wall.
Inside, the church is like a picture book of Bible stories: here are Sven Nilsson Morin's sculptures throughout the church. The captivating paintings are by Christoffer Weisstern.
The church boasts one of only a few surviving chandeliers from Limmareds glasbruk. It was made in 1855.
In the church porch there are several furnishings that tell of old Mossebo, including a small bell and the church's bridal crown.
