Marielundskyrkan is a Church of Sweden building in the Odenslund district on the southern edge of central Östersund, within Östersund parish and the Diocese of Härnösand. This guide draws on limited published sources, so much of the church's history remains sparsely documented.

Planning for a new church to serve the growing Marielund housing area began in 1964, with land purchased for the purpose the following year. Built to designs by architect Tore Virke, the church was completed in 1969. It was conceived as part of a wave of modern parish churches built in Swedish residential districts during this period.

Marielundskyrkan is a wooden, three-aisled basilica. Inside, the nave is likewise divided into three aisles, with vaulted ceilings and walls lined with blue-stained pine panelling, giving the interior a distinctive, understated timber character.

According to the Swedish Wikipedia article, the architect deliberately sought a simple, everyday character for the wooden building, intended to contrast with the more radical formal language associated with modernist architecture of the era.

The altar silver and the font were made by the silversmith Kerstin Öhlin-Lejonklou, providing the church's most notable liturgical furnishings.
