Marieholmskyrkan is a modern parish church in the Marieholm district of Mariestad, built to serve a rapidly expanding residential area on the town's edge. Consecrated in 1972, it forms part of a wider brick complex combining worship space with community facilities.

The decision to build a church in Marieholm was taken in 1965, as the surrounding neighbourhood grew quickly during the 1960s housing boom. The building was designed by architect Janne Feldt of the Skanark architectural firm in Karlstad and constructed by the Töreboda building firm Bröderna Asp. Marieholmskyrkan was consecrated on 7 October 1972, though the adjoining parish hall was not added until 1987.

The complex is built of red brick and arranged around a glazed courtyard, with the church and parish hall entered separately. The church hall itself occupies the north-western corner of the building and is lit by a small number of rectangular openings rather than conventional windows, giving the interior a restrained, modern character. The altar stands in a shallow recess, and a free-standing bell tower of rough concrete rises nearby. An extension on the north side houses the organ, built by Tore Lindegren and inaugurated in 1976 with fourteen stops.

The furnishings, in pine and brass, reflect the plain, functional aesthetic typical of Swedish church architecture of the period. A processional cross was carved by the sculptor Gösta Qvist, based on a design by curate H. E. Hanser and architect L. J. Ekelöf. Above the choir seating hangs a woven textile called Koral, made by Kerstin Persson at Tre Bäckar in Varnhem, while the carpets by the altar were designed by Gun Billingsson of Skövde.

The church seats around 200 people and remains a working parish building rather than a historic monument, its interest lying chiefly in its unified 1970s design and craftsmanship rather than in age or grand architecture.
