Ljusnedals kyrka is a wooden church in Härjedalen, beautifully set on a south-facing slope beside the former Ljusnedal ironworks. Built to serve the ironworks community, it replaced an earlier 18th-century church on the site.

The church was constructed in 1796 or 1797 (sources differ slightly on the exact year) for Ljusnedal's ironworks, replacing an older church that had stood since 1757. The setting, on a sunny hillside near the works, remains one of its most attractive features.

A major renovation took place in 1902, which shaped much of the church's present appearance. During this work the walls and vaulted ceiling were fitted with tongue-and-groove panelling, and most of the interior fixtures date from this period. The colour scheme introduced then survives: yellow walls, a white ceiling, and fittings in beige and white with touches of English red.

The altarpiece, painted by the artist Sven Linnborg, was also created as part of the 1902 renovation and depicts the crucifixion of Christ. Alongside it hangs a suite of paintings by Erik Wallin of Sveg, completed at the same time, portraying the life and teaching of Jesus, his death and resurrection.

The church is also said to house an organ built around 1880 by the Örebro firm E. A. Setterquist & Son, a modest instrument with a single manual and six stops. Electric lighting was installed in 1987.
