Lane-Ryrs kyrka stands in Kyrkebyn, in the small locality of Lane-Ryr northeast of Uddevalla. Built in Romanesque style, it was completed in 1874 to designs by Albert Törnqvist, who also designed Karlstad Cathedral. Seating figures for the church vary between sources.

A wooden church stood on or near this site from medieval times, replaced in 1671 by another timber building that was demolished in 1873 to make way for the present stone church. Fragments of the older church survive: its altar and pulpit are kept at the Bohuslän Museum, and its painted ceiling, created in 1743 by Jonas Ahlstedt, was later reused as floorboards in a building in Uddevalla. When that building was itself demolished in 1965, some 330 of the painted boards were rescued and are now preserved at the museum.

The current church, built in 1873–1874, combines a long nave and a three-sided chancel within a single unified structure. A tower with gables and a pyramid-shaped spire rises at the west end, while the sacristy occupies a three-sided apse-like extension to the east. The building was renovated in 1964.

Inside, the altarpiece depicting the Transfiguration of Christ was painted in 1874 by Svante Leonard Rydholm. The church also has a wooden font and a pulpit in neoclassical style.

An organ built by Salomon Molander was installed in 1878 alongside the new church, and this was later replaced by an instrument from John Grönvall Orgelbyggeri in 1967.
