Järstorps kyrka is a parish church in the village of Järstorp, west of Jönköping, standing on foundations that date back to the medieval period. It belongs to the Church of Sweden and offers visitors a glimpse of centuries of rural church life in Småland.

A church is believed to have stood on this site since the 1100s, with the surviving stone foundations dated to the 1200s. The building visitors see today owes much of its character to a major rebuilding in 1831, when the eastern gable, chancel and apse were demolished and the church was extended by around ten metres to accommodate a growing parish population. This work gave the church its present neoclassical appearance, and the entrance was moved to the western gable, with a new sacristy added at the east end.

The tower is a familiar landmark across Järstorp. Sources differ slightly on its date: one account gives 1862, while another records 1864 for the current western tower. Either way, at around 17.5 metres high, it remains visible from much of the surrounding countryside.

A thorough renovation took place in 1937–1938 under the direction of Jönköping's town architect, Göran Pauli, with further restorations recorded in 1992 and 2007. During the 1930s works, the lower part of a font dating from the late 1200s was recovered and returned to the church, having reportedly spent many years serving as the base of a garden table.

Among the church's fittings is a runestone built into the north-west wall, inscribed with the old parish name, Jarnstorp. The walls also display painted armorial shields belonging to various noble families associated with the parish, alongside an oil painting of the Resurrection of Christ by the artist Gunnar Zilo.

The church's first organ was built in 1864 by Erik Nordström; much of that instrument is now kept in storage. The present organ, a mechanical instrument built in 1962 by Frede Aagaard of Månsarp, retains the façade of its 1864 predecessor.
