Hackvads kyrka is a parish church in Hackvad, part of Örebro pastorat within the Church of Sweden's Strängnäs diocese. Though modest in size, its history spans medieval origins, an eighteenth-century rebuilding, and a dramatic fire that led to the church visitors see today.

The earliest church on this site, complete with a tower, was built in the twelfth century. By the late 1700s the medieval building had fallen into serious disrepair, prompting a rebuilding project. A new, wider nave with a three-sided chancel was constructed outside the old medieval walls, while the original tower was retained. The rebuilt church was consecrated on Michaelmas Day in 1782.

Disaster struck on 27 April 1902, when a fire broke out during a service and destroyed much of the church. Only a small number of fittings were saved from the flames. The building that stands today dates from 1909–1910, designed by the architect Magnus Dahlander, who incorporated the surviving old walls, raising them further with brick.

The exterior reflects this layered history: the lower part of the walls shows exposed limestone, while the upper section is rendered. The roof is a distinctive mansard form with two roof slopes divided by a narrow band of windows, and the tower is capped with a copper-clad spire.

The church organ has its own notable story. An earlier instrument was built in 1797 by Pehr Schiörlin of Linköping. The current organ, installed in 1910, is the work of Kaspar Thorsell of Gothenburg and is a pneumatic instrument — reportedly the only surviving organ by this builder. Its case forms part of the church's original 1910 interior scheme, also designed by Dahlander.
