Grimetons kyrka, in the Grimeton area of Varbergs kommun in Halland, is a parish church whose origins are thought to lie in the medieval period. Built up in stages over several centuries, it now presents a mix of older stonework and early twentieth-century additions, including its distinctive tower.

The earliest church on this site was probably built in the Middle Ages, possibly as a stave church, though the surviving structure owes much to a mid-17th-century rebuilding commissioned by the councillor Herman Wolffradt of nearby Torstorp. Substantial parts of that building remain within the western section of today's nave, and it is thought fragments of an even earlier, 15th-century church may survive within the fabric.

The church took its current cruciform-influenced shape in 1800, when architect Olof Tempelman extended the building eastwards, adding the transepts and the present chancel. The tower, designed in a historicist style with an octagonal lantern reminiscent of Renaissance forms, was completed in 1919 to designs by Axel Lindegren, replacing an earlier freestanding wooden bell tower that had stood near the chancel. Much of the fixed interior furnishing dates from this 1919 rebuilding, while the most recent internal restoration, in 1995–96, saw the walls replastered and ceiling paintings restored.

Inside, the whitewashed walls and wooden barrel vault create a plain, light interior. The altarpiece, from 1919, incorporates an 18th-century painting of the Crucifixion based on a work by van Dyck. The pulpit, dating from the late 18th century, carries carved figures of the four evangelists, and a red velvet chasuble from the same century is also kept in the church. A carved oak font by local craftsman Elis Andersson complements a much older and severely damaged font of limestone, dated to around 1300, which survives only in fragments after long deterioration.

Among the church's more unusual stories is the theft of a Bible in 1854, a richly bound copy from the reign of Charles XII bearing his royal cipher, which was reported stolen from the altar and recorded in a contemporary newspaper notice. The church's bells include a great bell originally cast in 1588 and later recast in 1886, alongside a smaller bell added in 1922.

The organ has been rebuilt more than once: an early instrument from 1816 was followed by a new organ in 1835, later fitted with new mechanisms in 1918 and again in 1960, when the current instrument was built behind the older 1835 case.
