Gårdsby kyrka is a Neoclassical parish church in Kronoberg county, built in the 1830s to replace a much older medieval church on a nearby site. It serves Gårdsby parish, part of the Church of Sweden's Diocese of Växjö.

The present church was built between 1833 and 1835 to designs by Jacob Wilhelm Gerss, with a local master builder, S. Sjöholm of Söraby, carrying out the work. It was consecrated in 1837 by Esaias Tegnér, the noted bishop and poet, who had judged the older medieval church too small and cramped for the growing congregation. That earlier church, which stood north-west (sources differ slightly on the exact direction) of the current building, was demolished once the new one was completed.

The church consists of a rectangular nave with a rounded sacristy attached at the east end, and a west tower with the main entrance, topped by a lantern and cross. Some changes were made to Gerss's original design during construction, including shortening the building and simplifying the tower lantern.

Inside, the church's character owes much to later nineteenth-century work: painter Bengt Nordenberg contributed an altarpiece in 1882 depicting Christ healing a man with a withered hand, followed in 1889 by eight large oil paintings on the nave walls illustrating scenes such as the Sermon on the Mount and the Widow's Mite. A further reordering of the interior took place in 1905 under architect Agi Lindegren, when the altarpiece was given its current position and additional frescoes and medallion paintings by Sven Linnborg were added, including depictions of the Heavenly City and scenes with Jesus, Peter and John.//The church retains its original pews from the time of construction, along with a pulpit with a sounding board that once stood above the altar. The oak font dates from 1918, the work of sculptor Thure Thörn, though a brass christening basin inscribed with a date of 1684 suggests an older font, now lost, once served the medieval church.

The organ, built in 1852 by Johan Nikolaus Söderling of Gothenburg with a facade by Carl Gustaf Blom Carlsson, has been altered several times, notably in 1935 and again in a 2007 restoration that aimed to return it to its late nineteenth-century form. Only one other organ of the same type is said to survive in Sweden, at Voxtorp church.
