Frykeruds kyrka, Kil: Frykeruds kyrka in Kil was built in stone in 1795-1799 to designs by the master builder Johan Westman.
The current church building was preceded by a wooden church from 1650. This church, like an earlier medieval wooden church, was situated on the land of the Prästbol farmstead, about 7 km southeast of the present church. Among the furnishings from the old church, mention can be made of a font of soapstone from the 13th century, probably made in Norway.
The church consists of a rectangular nave with a three-sided chancel end, an attached sacristy to the east, and a tower to the west. The nave's wall surfaces are pierced by round-arched window openings. The church's mansard roof is covered with slate. The exterior is well preserved and typical of the late 18th century's stylistic idiom. The church's fixed fittings were renewed in the 1860s and remain fairly intact to this day. The four windows in the chancel depict the four evangelists. The windows were installed in 1931 in connection with an interior restoration carried out to designs by Yngve Lundström.
