Bråttensby kyrka is a white wooden church standing on a hilltop beside road 181 in the parish of Herrljungabygden, Västra Götaland. Its oldest parts are traditionally dated to the 1600s, and local tradition holds that an earlier medieval church once stood elsewhere in the parish.

According to tradition, a medieval church originally stood further east in the parish, though the reasons for its abandonment and the construction of a new church here are not recorded. The building is constructed of oak timber, clad in white-painted panelling, with a red tiled roof and small-paned two-light windows.

A mid-18th-century restoration added a porch and sacristy, along with a new altar rail and pews. The altarpiece, dating from 1746, depicts the crucified Christ flanked by John and Mary, with an oval painting above bearing the name of God in Hebrew. A further, more thorough rebuilding took place in the 1890s, when new walls and roof timbers were added, both clad in shingle panelling, and a gallery and new sacristy were built. The tower was also remodelled at this time to its present form.

Twentieth-century restorations followed in 1957 and again in 1967–1968. The later work restored the altarpiece to its original 1746 appearance and added a canopy above the pulpit, with several fittings regilded and repainted following permission from the national heritage authorities.

Two painted funerary coats of arms hang in the church, one on the south wall of the nave inscribed with the name Gyllenhaal, the smaller on the north side bearing the name Gylengrönn. Late in the 19th century, two sealed burial vaults belonging to these noble families were discovered beneath the church floor. A funerary armorial shield linked to the Bryntesson family, dated 1655, also hangs in the church, alongside a 17th-century green chasuble.

The organ on the west gallery was built in 1961 and has seven stops across two manuals and pedal; before that date the church used a harmonium.
