Barkeryds kyrka is a parish church in Nässjö kommun, Jönköpings län, built in the mid-19th century to replace an older medieval building. Its light, spacious interior and pink-rendered exterior with white quoin detailing make it a distinctive stop for visitors exploring the churches of Sweden.

The present church replaced a much older stone church with medieval origins, which had been extended over time with timber transepts and a helm-roofed tower topped by a weathervane cockerel. By the early 19th century the old building could no longer accommodate the growing congregation, and in 1827 the parish decided to build anew. Plans were drawn up by Per Axel Nyström, but after years of delay the parish instead adopted designs by master builder Jonas Jonsson of Stockholm. Construction began in 1844, and the new church was completed in 1846, with its first service held in December that year; the old church was demolished the following year.

Built in stone in a neoclassical style, the church has a rectangular nave with a semicircular chancel to the east and a sacristy set against the north side of the nave. The west tower, with sound openings framed by arches and pilasters, was originally intended to carry a Gothic spire, but was instead finished with an enclosed lantern topped by a cross orb.

Inside, the hall-church interior is notable for its sense of light and space beneath a barrel-vaulted ceiling. The chancel arch bears a gilded inscription, and the chancel itself contains a stained-glass window from 1907 depicting the Resurrection of Christ. Furnishings include a font dated to the mid-12th century, a gilded altar cross, and a pulpit from 1846 with a sounding board, said to have been a gift from the church's builder, Jonas Jonsson; its square pulpit body is decorated with gilded symbols. The enclosed pew arrangement dates from the time of the church's construction, and the organ gallery has a curved central section.

The church has had several organs over its history, including an 18th-century instrument by Jonas Wistenius, a later 19th-century organ substantially rebuilt in the 20th century, and a smaller mechanical choir organ installed around 1980.
