The church was built in 1990 to designs by the architectural practice of Stig Henrik Lundgren, following many years of preparation by the local community before the building could be realised.
The structure has a timber frame and an almost square plan, combining the worship space with parish facilities such as a meeting room and kitchen under one roof. The exterior is finished with white-painted board cladding, and the church bell is set into the gable above the entrance.
Inside, the font is made of wood, with a square basin containing a rounded depression. Rather than a traditional pulpit, the church has a wooden ambo. Many of the fixtures and fittings were given to the parish as gifts, giving the interior a personal, community character.
