The church was designed by architects Arne Nygård and Kjell Malmquist of Gothenburg and completed in 1989, when it was consecrated in May of that year. The main worship space sits to the east and connects to a lower, horseshoe-shaped section to the west, which houses the sacristy, a meeting hall, kitchen, entrance hall, toilets and a group room. A small church square adjoins the building, with a freestanding bell tower topped by a weathercock in the shape of a rooster.
Inside, the free-standing altar is furnished with an altarpiece in the form of an icon by the artist Erland Forsberg. The candlesticks and christening bowl were cast at the Fongs brass foundry, while the ceiling chandelier is a copy of an original found in Vadstena Abbey, one of Sweden's most historically significant religious sites.
The mechanical organ was built in 1992 by Hammarbergs Orgelbyggeri and has fifteen stops across two manuals and pedal, a modest but characteristic instrument for a church of this age and scale.
