Åkers kyrka is a parish church in Åker, part of Skillingaryd parish in the Swedish province of Småland. Built of grey stone in the 1840s, it stands on a site with a much older worship history and holds several notable historic fittings.

The earliest church on this site is thought to have been a timber building, later replaced during the 16th century by a stone church without a tower, its bells housed in a separate wooden bell tower. Remnants of that stone church's foundations survive beneath the floor of the present building.

The current church, in a restrained neoclassical style, was built between 1843 and 1845 by master builder Peter Pettersson. It has a rectangular nave with a semicircular chancel to the east and a semicircular sacristy on the north side. A low west tower carries an open timber lantern, and the whitewashed walls contrast with a black-painted metal roof. Inside, the hall-church interior is covered by a barrel vault, and the chancel ceiling was decorated in 1938 with a resurrection scene by the artist Torsten Hjelm.

Among the church's furnishings is a crucifix dating from the 14th century and a bell cast in 1528, both considerably older than the present building. The font was carved in 1938, and the altarpiece, depicting the Adoration of the Shepherds, dates from the same year. An earlier 18th-century altarpiece showing the Last Supper has been kept in the porch. The altar surround, with columns and a radiating sunburst motif above, is contemporary with the church's construction, as is the enclosed pew furnishing, though this was remodelled in 1938.

The organ gallery and its surviving organ case were designed in 1854 by the architect Johan Fredrik Åbom. An organ built that year by Johan Nikolaus Söderling was later replaced in 1937 by a new pneumatic instrument from A. Mårtensson's Orgelfabrik in Lund; a smaller chancel organ was added in 1976.
