Locketorps kyrka stands in Nymanstorp, in the northern part of Skövde in Västra Götaland. This modest country church replaced a medieval predecessor destroyed by fire, and today it is known chiefly for its striking modern stained glass.

A medieval church stood on this site until the night of 8 July 1896, when sparks from a nearby fire at the farm caught the roof and, within hours, the building was completely destroyed. Reports at the time suggested a rebuilding to create more space had already been under discussion in the parish, and the fire made way for a larger new church. An old burial vault beneath the former church, said to contain the remains of two sisters from the Bonde family, was uncovered after the blaze; contemporary newspaper notices claimed it was broken into and disturbed within days, apparently by people searching for valuables.

The present church was built in 1897–1898 on the same site, to designs by the Skövde architect Frans Wahlström. It consists of a nave with a narrower, multi-sided chancel to the east, a tower to the west, and a sacristy to the north. The interior has kept its original character, with exposed roof timbers and dark wood fittings dating from the rebuilding, including a pulpit and a font both made in 1898.

A few older furnishings survived the fire and were brought into the new building, among them wooden sculptures displayed on the south wall, a brass chandelier in the chancel and another in the porch.

The church's best-known feature is its chancel windows, glass mosaics by the artist Bo Beskow added in 1957. Beskow, who also created a well-known wall decoration for the United Nations headquarters in New York, designed three windows here: the central one shows Christ offering the bread of life, the west window depicts the Annunciation, adoration and baptism, and the east window portrays scenes from Gethsemane, the mocking of Christ and Golgotha.

The churchyard is the burial place of Sven Hof, a rector of the Skara school. The church's organ has also changed over time: an instrument built in 1906 was replaced in 1973 by a mechanical organ with a sounding façade.
