Norra Fågelås kyrka is a parish church in Hjo Municipality, Västra Götaland, with origins probably dating back to the 1100s. Historically linked to Alvastra Abbey and the Almnäs estate, it retains features from several centuries of building work.

The church likely began as a small stone building in the 1100s, first mentioned in a manuscript of 1225; parts of its walls are thought to survive within the present structure, a hall church with steep gothic gables, the western one decorated with a cross-shaped blind arch. The nave was extended in the 1300s, and the freestanding bell tower nearby is also believed to date from that century, making it one of the oldest such wooden bell towers in Sweden.

The 17th century, Sweden's era of great power, left a strong mark on the building. Around 1650 a porch was added, along with wooden vaulting and an organ loft inside. A burial chapel for Carl Hård, who died in 1653, was built on the south side, and the windows were enlarged around 1693. A ridge turret, added at around this time, was later removed due to risk of collapse. The pulpit was donated to the church in 1667.

In the following century the Stackelberg family, then resident at Almnäs manor, added a burial chapel on the north side in 1749. A larger rebuilding in 1754 gave the chancel its present three-sided form, matching the width of the nave, and opened a west portal. When the Hård family left the parish in 1788, their older burial chapel was converted into a sacristy.

A major restoration between 1926 and 1929, led by Evert Milles, aimed to return the interior to its baroque appearance; the sacristy's original windows were reinstated, and the two former burial chapels took on new roles as a christening chapel and a burial chapel for the Stackelberg family. Further repair work took place in 1994.

Inside, the walls carry numerous carved and painted funerary coats of arms. A crucifix from the 1400s hangs above the altar, and a font of limestone, given to the church in 1651, stands in the christening chapel. The organ, built in 1912 by E. A. Setterquist & Son and reworked in 1942, was restored to its original tonal character in 2012; its silent facade dates back to an earlier instrument of 1775. In the churchyard's northwest corner stands a parish storehouse from 1764, and the church is linked to the Almnäs estate by an avenue of trees.
