Getinge kyrka is a parish church in the village of Getinge, near Halmstad in Halland, part of Getinge-Rävinge parish within the Diocese of Gothenburg. Whitewashed and rebuilt many times, it preserves fragments of a medieval past beneath its 19th-century exterior.

The church's oldest parts date from the medieval period, probably the 12th or 13th century. Records and an old engraving suggest the original Romanesque building had a nave, a narrower chancel, and a semicircular apse, with a timber bell tower at the west end and separate entrances for men and women.

The building was substantially altered over the centuries. In 1776 the flat medieval ceiling was replaced with a vaulted one, decorated the following year with paintings by a local master. In 1830 the old porch, chancel and apse were demolished, the nave was extended eastward, and the chancel took on the rounded form still visible today, along with its large round-arched windows.

The present tower dates from the late 19th century, built in a Neo-Gothic style after an earlier tower - itself a replacement for one destroyed by fire - was taken down. Its appearance was simplified in 1952, when many of the Neo-Gothic details were removed and the entrance columns replaced with granite ones. The church was fully renovated in 2006 and reopened in 2007.

Inside, the altarpiece was made in 1845 in a Neoclassical style, its gilded cross and crown of thorns flanked by paired columns. The pulpit dates from 1860, while the oldest fitting is the oak font, carved in 1687 and attributed to Marcus Jäger the elder, along with two accompanying figures said to depict Aaron and John the Baptist. An older 17th-century pulpit, in carved Renaissance style, is kept in a side chapel that was once a private burial vault for a local landowning family.

Among the churchyard's gravestones lies a meteorite that fell in the parish in the 1870s, now marking the grave of a local crofter who died in 1885 - an unusual and memorable detail for visitors. A runic stone is set into the church's outer wall, while a second, related stone recorded in the past has since been lost.

The current organ was built in 1957 by a Danish workshop and later adjusted in tone in the 1990s, replacing two earlier instruments installed in the 18th and 19th centuries.
