The foundation of Vindeln Church was laid in 1901, and the church was consecrated in 1903. Vindeln Church was built in stone, but with a roof structure of wood in order to keep costs down. In 1978 the church received a new copper roof. This replaced an old roof of black sheet metal, which had to be painted every ten years. In the most recent restoration, the entrance was made accessible for the disabled. The facade was given new plaster, the wooden details were painted, and among other things the cockerel and the clock hands were covered with new gold leaf. The exterior is perhaps best appreciated when seen from the main road or the railway, as the light-coloured church building with its 49-metre-high, pointed tower forms a striking sight, especially when illuminated at night. The church seats approximately 700 people.
Vindeln Church is open in summer Monday–Friday 8am–3pm during June–August.
