Västra Skedvi kyrka is a parish church in Köping municipality, Västmanland, serving Malma parish within the Diocese of Västerås. The present building dates from the early nineteenth century, though its origins as a place of worship stretch back much further.

An earlier medieval church once stood roughly two hundred metres to the north of the current site. The building visitors see today was constructed between 1806 and 1810, to designs by the architect Per Wilhelm Palmroth. It has a rectangular nave with a chancel to the east and a tower to the west, with a sacristy attached beyond the chancel. The walls are built of granite rubble, with brick used around the door and window openings.

Inside, the church has whitewashed walls and a whitewashed barrel vault. The chancel floor is raised three steps above the level of the nave, giving a modest but clear sense of hierarchy to the space.

Despite the building's comparatively recent construction, it houses several much older treasures. A number of wooden sculptures, believed to have once formed part of a fifteenth-century altar cabinet, survive within the church, alongside a crucifix dated to the 1350s — remarkable survivals that predate the current structure by centuries.

The pulpit dates from the same period as the church itself, though the version seen today was installed during a renovation of the interior in 1930. It has a five-sided pulpit body finished in green marbling and stands against the north wall; its canopy is decorated with a carved pelican. The font is more recent still: a rough-hewn, unfinished pine block installed in 1979, paired with a baptismal bowl made by the artist Arnold Rundström. A bridal crown from 1865 is also among the church's furnishings.

The organ has a layered history typical of many Swedish parish instruments: a mechanical organ was built in 1847 by Johan Samuel Strand of Västra Vingåker, and it was subsequently altered in 1896 by Anders Victor Lundahl of Stockholm.
