The church is an architectural masterpiece by Ferdinand Boberg, shaped according to Nathan Söderblom's theology of revelation. Some of the most renowned artists of the time, such as Carl Milles, Olle Hjortzberg, Filip Månsson, Hugo Alfvén and others, were engaged for the decoration and embellishment of the church interior and for the music at the consecration in 1913.
