Tullinge kyrka stands on a hill above Lake Tullingesjön in Botkyrka, southwest of Stockholm. Built for the local congregation and completed in the late 1950s, it is a modest modern church whose setting on an ancient burial mound gives it a distinctive character.

The church was funded largely through collections and donations from the local community, and was completed and inaugurated in 1958 for the Tullinge kapellstiftelse (Tullinge Chapel Foundation). It was designed by the architect Georg Rudner and today belongs to Botkyrka församling, having previously been part of Tullinge församling from 1992.

Rather than a conventional tower, the church has a freestanding bell tower built of larch wood, set upon an ancient burial mound beside the church building. This unusual pairing of a modern church with a prehistoric grave mound is one of the site's more memorable features.

Inside, the chancel wall cross with gilded rays was created by the artist Ingvar Jörpeland. The font is also worth a look: it was made from silver recovered from old cinema films and was crafted and donated by Gert Karlsson, an unusual origin for a piece of church silver. Two paintings hang in the church, depicting the revelation of Saint Birgitta and an entombment scene, by Mina Carlson-Bredberg and Walter Köhler respectively.

The church's organ has an interesting history: an original instrument by the German builder Werner Bosch was installed in 1957, shortly before the church itself opened, and was later replaced in 1983 by a mechanical organ built by Åkerman & Lund Orgelbyggeri of Knivsta.
