An earlier travelling church of the Oresjö type was erected on the site in 1975, before being replaced by the present building. The current church was designed by architect Janne Feldt and completed in 1992, combining the worship space with parish facilities and, distinctively, the premises of the Trollflöjten preschool, all under one roof.
The building's walls, inside and out, are clad in warm red brick. The church room itself is octagonal, oriented east-west, with a chancel and tall windows to the east that draw in the light.
Inside, the chancel wall carries a decorative feature by Jonas Torstensson made of thick, cast blue glass with a golden cross at its centre. A triumphal crucifix was carved by Eva Spångberg, and much of the furnishing, including the altar table, pulpit, font and chairs, is made of red beech.
The church's organ has an interesting history: an earlier instrument built in 1970 by the German firm Emil Hammer Orgelbau was sold on in 1976 and now stands in another Swedish church. The organ currently in use was built in 1981 by Walter Thür Orgelbyggen of Torshälla and is a mechanical instrument.
