Torps kyrka stands in Fränsta, in Ånge municipality, and serves as the parish church of Torps församling within the Diocese of Härnösand. Its long history spans several buildings on the same site, from early medieval wooden and stone churches to the present structure.

A wooden church is thought to have stood on this site in the 1100s, later replaced by a stone church in the 1200s. The present building dates from 1782 to 1785, built to designs by the architect Johan Christian Loëll. It has a rectangular nave with short, wide transepts to the north and south, and a tower on the eastern side of the nave that houses the sacristy.

The tower's upper section seen today is not original: the earlier structure was destroyed by a lightning strike, and its replacement was designed by Fredrik Ekholm and completed in 1882–83. During re-roofing work in 1924, a wood shingle bearing the inscribed date 1782 was discovered beneath the later covering, offering a physical trace of the church's construction period. The following year, in 1925, the building was restored, given new external render, and repainted inside before being reconsecrated by Bishop Ernst Lönegren.

Among the church's furnishings, the stone font is the oldest surviving object, dating from the late 1100s and predating the current building by centuries. A cabinet-like shrine dedicated to Saint Olof dates from the 1200s, a reminder of the strong veneration of this Norwegian royal saint across medieval Scandinavia. The altarpiece was painted by Carl Hofverberg in 1749, while the pulpit was made considerably later, in 1852, by the craftsman Kjellström.

Together these fittings—font, medieval shrine, eighteenth-century altarpiece and nineteenth-century pulpit—span roughly seven centuries, making the church's interior a layered record of Torp parish's religious life even as the building itself has been rebuilt more than once.
