Tämta kyrka is a parish church in the northern part of Borås municipality in Västra Götaland, Sweden. Built in 1865 to replace a smaller, decaying medieval church, it now belongs to Fristads församling in the Diocese of Skara.

By 1830 the Swedish state had decided that Tämta and neighbouring Vänga parishes should no longer maintain their separate medieval churches, but should instead share a single new building. The people of Tämta resisted this plan and won permission to build their own church instead. Completed in 1865 on a new site, the building allowed the old medieval church to be demolished, though the formal consecration did not take place until October 1875.

Designed by the architect Thor Medelplan, the church combines Empire and Neo-Gothic styling. It is built of stone, with a tower flanked by two porches and a narrower three-sided chancel. Inside, the nave has a coved ceiling and enclosed box pews. During a restoration in 1949 the three chancel windows were bricked up, and the artist Einar Forseth painted scenes from Golgotha in the resulting niches; the interior was repainted, seating capacity reduced, and the vestry relocated from behind the altar to one of the porches.

Among the church's furnishings is a sandstone font, made around 1200, that survives from the old Tämta church; its cylindrical basin and stylised rope-moulding decoration are typical of fonts from this period in the region. A separate medieval treasure, a seated wooden Madonna sculpture from the 13th century, is not kept in the church but preserved at Borås Museum. The Baroque pulpit dates from the 1600s and bears painted decoration attributed to Detlef Ross.

The church's two bells present a small mystery: the larger is an undecorated late-medieval bell of a common type, while the smaller reportedly hung in the earlier church demolished in 1885, though its precise age remains uncertain. The current organ, installed in 1972 by Hammarbergs Orgelbyggeri, replaced the church's original harmonium, which still stands in the nave as a reminder of the building's earlier furnishings.
