Svärtans kapell is a small red timber chapel in Grebban, just west of the town of Hjo in Västra Götaland. Built in the early 1930s for the former Hjo rural parish, it remains a modest place of worship within today's Hjo parish, Skara diocese.

The chapel was built in 1931–1932 to designs by the architect Bernhard Schill. Its exterior, with vertical red-painted timber panelling in a restrained classicist style, a distinctive ridge turret and a clay-tiled saddle roof, is well preserved and gives the building a simple, dignified character typical of small Swedish rural chapels of the period.

Inside, the layout is straightforward: a single central aisle leads to an altar set against the far wall, without elaborate decoration or side chapels. The interior was renovated in 1976, which altered some of its original furnishings, though the exterior has kept its early character.

Among the furnishings, the font is a later addition, made in 1992 by the craftsman Roland Froh at a joinery workshop in Hjo, giving the chapel a touch of more recent local craftsmanship alongside its older structure.

Svärtans kapell is a good example of the small, unpretentious wooden chapels built across the Swedish countryside in the early twentieth century to serve outlying communities, valued more for their modest charm and local history than for grand architecture or elaborate treasures.
