Spannarboda kyrka is a modest parish church in Spannarboda, in the Diocese of Västerås. It began life not as a church at all, but as a parish hall intended only as a temporary solution while a proper church was planned.

In the early 1920s a parish hall was built at Spannarboda, meant as a stopgap until a purpose-built church could be erected. That church never materialised. Instead, the parish hall itself was gradually transformed into a church: buttresses were added to the structure, and both the building and its surrounding churchyard were tidied up and improved. The churchyard had been laid out slightly earlier, in 1921–1922, along with a bell tower housing two bells cast at the Bergholtz foundry.

The church proper was designed by Olof Deas-Olsson and built in 1922–1923 by local builders Axel Larsson and Emil Johansson. Its original design was simple, and it was remodelled in 1936–1937 to plans by architect Martin Westerberg. A further renovation in 1993, following proposals by architect Jerk Alton, introduced open pew seating, lowered the chancel floor, replaced the pulpit with an ambo, and added a new altar. The building has a timber frame with standing wooden panelling on the exterior walls and a slate roof, and the interior runs on a north–south axis with the chancel to the south.

Despite its unassuming, improvised origins, visitors often find the church appealing precisely because of its simplicity. The small altarpiece depicting the Good Shepherd, painted by Edgar Wallin, dates from the 1936 remodelling and is considered one of the church's more charming features. A wooden font was also added during that same renovation.
