Sofia kyrka: Sofia Church stands atop Södermalm. The church was completed in 1906 and is named after Queen Sofia, consort of Oscar II.

The church was built between 1902 and 1906. The architect was Gustaf Hermansson, then thirty-five years old. It was executed in the Rhenish transitional Romanesque style, a style characterised by both Romanesque and Gothic features, marked by groupings of towers with tall spires. The church has a beautiful altar fresco by Hilding Linnqvist, painted in 1950-1951. Sofia Church is named after Oscar II's consort, Queen Sofia.
