Sjogerstads kyrka stands in the small church village of Sjogerstad, south of Skultorp in Skövde municipality. This nineteenth-century building replaced two earlier medieval churches and preserves some notable furnishings from that earlier period.

The present church was built in Neo-Gothic style on a base of hewn stone and was consecrated in 1866, designed by the architect Per Ulrik Stenhammar. It replaced two medieval churches, one at Sjogerstad itself and another belonging to the former Rådene parish; both older buildings were demolished, leaving only their abandoned churchyards as a reminder of the earlier sites.

The building consists of a nave with an eastern chancel and a sacristy, separated by a decorative low screen, and a slender west tower topped with a spire. Three porches serve the church, at the base of the tower and on both the north and south sides of the nave, with doors and windows shaped in pointed Gothic arches. Inside, the nave is covered by a grey-painted panelled ceiling, a distinctive feature of the interior.

Among the furnishings are two font basins of notably different ages: one carved from sandstone in the twelfth century, the other from limestone in the thirteenth century, both surviving from the earlier medieval churches. The altarpiece, dating from 1675 and repainted in 1754, also originates from the medieval church; it depicts a Golgotha scene flanked by figures of the evangelists. A seventeenth-century painting shows a biblical scene of Simeon holding the infant Jesus, and further eighteenth-century paintings are also kept in the church.

The churchyard contains the grave of the hymn writer Paul Nilsson.
