Säterbo kyrka is a small stone church a few miles south-east of Arboga in Västmanland, dating back to the 1100s. Set on a low ridge between farmland and forest, it is best known for its early medieval triumphal crucifix and its unusual pulpit-altar arrangement.

The church was probably built in the 12th century, and much of the nave walls survive from that original construction. Its tower is also thought to be medieval, possibly added around 1200, while a sacristy to the north was likely added in the 15th century. A porch on the south side, built around the same time or slightly later, was demolished after the south entrance was blocked up in 1796.

The roof structure over the nave, with its Gothic timber trusses, may date from the 14th or 15th century, and older sections of the sacristy roof timbers also appear to be medieval, despite later heightening and widening of that room. Timbers in the tower are carved with the dates 1616 and 1662. The building's window openings were altered repeatedly over the centuries: originally there were only two small windows, but from 1632 onwards these were enlarged and multiplied, with further changes to the windows made as late as 1897–98.

The exterior is simple and whitewashed, with a steep copper roof over the nave and a bell-shaped copper spire with an eight-sided lantern crowning the tower. Inside, the walls are plastered in pale grey-white, and the nave is covered by a plastered wooden barrel vault, with a similar vaulted ceiling in stone over the sacristy. The altarpiece and gallery are both in a restrained neoclassical style.

Among the church's furnishings, the most striking is a triumphal crucifix dating from the early 13th century, a rare survival predating most of the building's later alterations. The pulpit, dated 1796, is unusual in being built into the altar rather than standing separately, a detail worth noting for visitors interested in Swedish church furnishings of the period. Two bells hang in the tower: the larger dates from 1734 and the smaller from 1640.

The church has had several organs over its history, including a four-stop instrument built in 1856 and a later one from 1953 that was eventually moved to another church. The current organ, a mechanical instrument with ten stops across two manuals, was built in 1977 by A. Magnussons Orgelbyggeri.
