Rådmansö kyrka stands near Kyrkfjärden on the Rådmansö peninsula, some 20 kilometres east of Norrtälje. Built in the early nineteenth century in the restrained Empire style, it replaced an older timber church and remains the parish church of Rådmansö.

The present building was designed by the architect Per Axel Nyström and constructed between 1816 and 1818, though for reasons not explained in the sources it was not formally consecrated until 1844. It replaced a seventeenth-century timber cross-church that had stood nearby, closer to the old lychgate in the churchyard wall.

A significant renovation in 1906 shortened the church's interior at the east end, creating space for a new sacristy and a heating chamber behind a dividing wall. Further changes followed in the twentieth century: the church's decorative paintings and pews were renewed in 1960, and the bell tower and rendering were restored in 2010, returning the exterior to white after a period when algae growth had discoloured it.

A notable survival from the older church is the altar, made around 1600 in colourful Polish Renaissance style; it is thought, though not proven, to have arrived in Sweden as war booty from the Thirty Years' War in Poland. The pulpit, dating from the seventeenth century and made in the style associated with Charles XI, also came from the earlier building. A votive ship inside dates from 1791, and the font from 1911.

Outside, southwest of the church, stands a log-built lychgate dating from 1770, which served as a mortuary chapel until 1906. In summer 2014 a photographic exhibition on local history was installed there. The churchyard also contains a large cross erected by parishioners in memory of seven young people from Vidinge who died in a snowstorm while returning from a prayer meeting, and the grave of the politician Gösta Bohman.

The church has had several organs over the centuries. An early instrument, said to have been won as booty in Holstein, was recorded in the seventeenth century but had fallen into disrepair by 1773; a later organ built in 1907 incorporated some pipework from an 1844 instrument and was itself rebuilt in the 1950s.
