In the centre of Örnäset in Luleå stands Örnäsets kyrka, also known locally as the "Church of the Doors" (Portarnas kyrka). The nickname reflects the building's architecture, though the parish also likes to think of it as a church with doors open to all.

Örnäsets kyrka was completed in 1963, the year after Örnäset parish had been created by splitting off from Luleå Cathedral parish. The church was inaugurated on 1 December 1963 and was designed by the architect Bertil Franklin. Its distinctive appearance comes from a concrete structure clad in brown hand-made Helsingborg brick, topped by a roof formed of three large vaults.

Inside, the walls are of rendered brick, with fixed pews and a pine floor, except in the chancel, where the floor is laid with stone slabs. A cross with a crown of thorns, made by Birger Boman, tops the roof outside.

The chancel wall carries a large gold mosaic, said to cover around 100 square metres, created by Pär Andersson, who was also responsible for the decoration of the pulpit. It depicts the heavenly city as the goal of life's journey, with Jesus as the gateway to it. Other furnishings include a wooden altar with a crucifix by Ulla Sirén Boman, a cross-shaped granite font with a silver bowl by Kurt Landgren, and a dove sculpture above the font by Birger Boman. The sacristy contains a fresco by Rudolf Gowenius, and there are stained glass windows by Stig Pettersson depicting three crosses.

The church bells were cast by the Bergholtz foundry, and a freestanding steel bell tower stands nearby, alongside the separate parish hall, Örnäsgården. The organ was built by Grönlunds Orgelbyggeri.
