History
Olaus Petrikyrkan, also known as OP, was inaugurated in 1959, is located in Gärdet, and takes its name from "Sweden's Luther", Olaus Petri. The church was designed by Peter Celsing and forms the northern part of a curved terrace of residential buildings. One of the church's notable features is the font, made from a single piece of green Ekeberg marble. The font weighs approximately 1.5 tonnes and is shaped like an egg. Do also take a look at the ceiling painting in the church, created by professor Olle Nyman. Visit Olaus Petrikyrkan on the city walk! Contact the parish office, 08-442 51 00, if you would like to visit the church.
