Norra Vings kyrka is a parish church in Axvall, in the Skara diocese of Västra Götaland. Its origins lie in the medieval period, though the building visitors see today has been much altered over the centuries, giving it a distinctive layered history.

The church is believed to have been built around the 1180s, and only fragments of the original medieval structure survive: the present sacristy and the walls east of the pulpit date from this earliest phase. Everything else reflects later rebuilding.

By the eighteenth century the old church was considered too cramped for the congregation, and in 1751–1752 it was extended by seven metres. Further major alterations followed in the nineteenth century, particularly between 1834 and 1835, giving the church broadly the appearance it has today. The interior was repainted in 1842, and in 1847 the old wooden bell-frame was replaced by a tower with a lantern. According to one account, the rebuilding work dragged on for years because of a shortage of funds, and a silver wine jug once belonging to the church was eventually sold to Stenum church to help pay for the renovation.

Inside, the pulpit is said to be an unusual example of Rococo style, a striking survival amid the church's otherwise plainer decoration. In the twentieth century the church gained a free-standing altar and a lighter colour scheme, changes that mark its most recent transformation.

Among the furnishings are several worn wooden sculptures from the seventeenth century, reportedly donated by a governor from nearby Härlingstorp. A crucifix said to have been found on the coffin of a woman named Maria Kafle is also kept in the church, adding an intriguing, if unverified, local story to the building's history. The altarpiece, painted by Axel Jungstedt, was given to the church in 1891.

The church bells in the tower are said to date from 1630 and 1727, spanning the period between the medieval origins and the later rebuilding. The current organ was built in 1963 by Nordfors & Co of Lidköping, incorporating the façade of an earlier instrument installed in 1859.
